Hey! I just moved to Buena Park (I'm originally from Michigan). How does Halloween work around here? Does anyone know when trick or treating is for the kiddies in the area? I want to dress up and give out candy! I live a couple blocks from Knott's Berry Farm so I'm guessing people will be around, but is there a set day for Trick or Treaters? I know in Michigan they would push it to the weekend sometimes.

Depending on your neighborhood, you might get several dozen kids, or you might get one or two...it's hard to say. You can expect the paranoid parents to send their children out while it's still light out (5pm or before), while most others should come between 6 and 9.

Around here kids go out almost exclusivly on Halloween night - I don't remember ever having any kids early or later. Lots of the shopping centers (like the Block or Spectrum) also have trick-or-treating for the kids at the shops there. If you want to hand it out, just make sure you turn on your porch light, and you'll have at least some knocking on your door =)
