Right now we are casting for an upcoming episode of True Life. The main focus of the episode is young people at odds with their parents over their boyfriend or girlfriend.

I would really appreciate if you could forward the information along in the group. A lot of times when we post people think we are spam. Parents must be willing to participate in the show. They can email their situations to Parents@mtvnmix.com with their name, age, location, and phone number. We are looking for people 18-26

My younger brothers have been making my poor mom take care of their animals for far too long. They are on vacation for the next week and a half, and my mom and I have agreed that these animals need new homes. Free, if you want them, are the following:

One neutered, 15-month old silverfox (lop/dwarf mix) rabbit. Comes with cage, food, etc. etc.

Two dumpy tree frogs. Well taken care of. Comes with tank, food, etc.

So yeah...free animals. I'm located in Los Alamitos. Thanks a bunch!

Hey! I just moved to Buena Park (I'm originally from Michigan). How does Halloween work around here? Does anyone know when trick or treating is for the kiddies in the area? I want to dress up and give out candy! I live a couple blocks from Knott's Berry Farm so I'm guessing people will be around, but is there a set day for Trick or Treaters? I know in Michigan they would push it to the weekend sometimes.

Hey! I just moved out here about a week and a half ago. I lived in Michigan until two months or so ago so I'm not even from the west originally. I lived in Utah just before I moved here. I was going to go to school there but things didn't work out. My boyfriend of 4 years moved out to Utah first. Thats why I came out, then he had some problems with school and was working in Cali on his breaks. He has a good job here and decided to go to school here. I didn't like the school I was going to in Utah enough to hold me there... since I moved out west to be with him. Anyways... long story short... I'm completely new around here and just drifting. I need to start establishing myself in the community. I'm looking for a job currently and have been wanting to see some sites. I'm looking to get back into school... I'm thinking about Cal State Fullerton. I'm 21 and I'm in Buena Park. I'm also interested in some volunteer programs if I don't get right in school. (Preferably, Environmental) So if anyone has cool ideas to make me feel more at home... they are welcome!!

x posted in my journal:

Drove past the RC/7up factory today and could smell chemical citrus.

Orange County used to have acres upon acres of orange groves. Over the weekend I saw a group of about four orange trees where there probably was once thousands. It made me sad.

My dad has told me stories of when he was a kid, running through the trees, playing hide and go seek. He and his brothers used to throw rotten oranges at each other.
Even when I was little, the smell of orange blossoms would fill the air every spring.

But now the demand for more houses, million dollar homes, has beat out the demand for the fruit.

And the only way I can get a whiff of citrus is to drive past the RC/7up factory...

I have a love/hate relationship with Orange County.

It's so damn crowded, and often those crowds are littered with stuck up, rich people. That's the hate part.

The love part is that there are a million things to keep us busy. (Which is why it's so crowded, I'm sure, and that's the cirle of life, I guess.) But anyway- from tons of different restaurants and bars to good ol' Disneyland, there's always something to do here - and often within walking distance! I love that.

So I guess that's what this community will hopefully be about. What you love AND what you hate about living in or around "The O.C."

Talk about local events and happenings, talk about absolutely nothing. There are no rules yet, but if there has to be some, I'm sure I can think of something down the road.

Till then...
